More Bake Love

I would feel guilty if I didn't mention that the bakelove t-shirt that I mentioned in my previous post is brought to you by Bakerella.  A genius.  She has made cake pops famous with her baking blog.  And now even has her own book.  Her site is fun to look at.  If you're not familiar with her, you should take a gander.

Another one of favorite blogs to look at is i am baker.  I'm am always blown away at her creations.  Usually, when I see her pictures, I say - out loud - "Ri-diii-cu-lousss".  It's ridiculous that amount of talent and creativity this woman has, AND she has a family!  (She has another blog, too, called i am mommy, but the baking one appeals to me more. ha.)  It was on her blog that I saw the idea for this cake I made for a friend of the family for Valentine's Day.  (iambaker did it better, but I still think mine is pretty cute.)

iambaker did the roses all over.  It was soo pretty.  You should go look at it (click the "roses all over").

Well, now that Valentine's Day is over, I'm on to St. Patrick's Day...with some orders in between.  So, as always, I'm happy baking.

For the Love of Cookies

Before I get to the cookies, I just wanted to tell you about the Valentine's Day present I bought...for myself.  I've been wanting it for quite some time and decided Valentine's Day was the perfect excuse.  It's a t-shirt.  A t-shirt that says "bakelove".  I'm pretty excited about it.  (If you would like to buy one for yourself or someone that loves to bake, you can click here.)  And now on to the sweets...

If you're wondering what my Valentine's looked like this year, here are some pictures for you.  (I never got to have the photo shoot I had hoped for, so forgive me for the snapshots.)

All in all, I made around 32 dozen hearts (that's 384 cookies, if you do the math) of various sizes and designs.
I was quite the busy Sweet B.  And I still have my love for cookies...I'll be showing you more love of cookies soon!

Cookies for Kari!

So, if you don't know, I keep my darling, sweet, niece in the afternoons.  She has a pretty busy schedule.  Monday, she has tumbling, Tuesdays are Girl Scouts, Wednesdays are ballet and fortunately - Thursday and Friday afternoons, nothing.  Well, also to my fortune, our neighbor with twin girls the same age as Carlee Anne, have similar busy schedules.  And on Wednesdays, Kari picks all 3 girls up from school, hauls them to ballet, assists them all in putting on tights, waits around for an hour and then brings them back to the branch.  For this, I am extremely grateful!  Kari, also, happens to be a huge fan of Sweet B's.  So, of course, thank you cookies were due.
The cookies say it all!!!

Little Boy Blue

So, I love making the baby onesies, if you didn't know.  I made 7 dozen of them for a new mom back in Columbus.  She gave them out as thank you's to her doctors and nurses.
This was the first time I did them in baby blue!
Still love them!
Congratulations, Suzanne!

Lights! Camera! Cookies!

These cookies were made for a very special 10 year old!
She took her friends to the movies for her birthday.  Her mom loves throwing a party and wanted to have favors worth remembering.  I hope she wasn't disappointed!

Pink and Brown, All Around

I think brown is favorite secondary color for baby cookies.  Baby pink or baby blue and brown.  Love it.  These are no exception.  They're especially cute with a little bit of monkey business!
Thanks, Jenny, for letting me do the monkeys again!

The butterflies were for a friend of mine's baby shower. So much fun!

I always love the baby cookies!  Congratulations, Paige.  Hope you and Aaliyah are having a blast!
